Fit and measurement guide

How to read a frame size, and the lens, bridge and temple measurements of every HiDX model.

Every HiDX model is specified with three measurements, taken in millimetres and quoted in the industry-standard order: lens, bridge, temple. For example, 57-18-130.

Reading a frame size

Lens width

Horizontal width of a single lens at its widest point. The first figure in the size code, and the primary driver of coverage.

Bridge width

Distance between the two lenses. Governs how the frame sits on the nose and how weight is carried across a shift.

Temple length

Length of the arm from hinge to tip. Longer temples suit deeper head shapes and help stabilise higher-coverage frames.

Where a model is offered in two sizes, both are listed.

Finding the right fit

Coverage first: A003 and A008 have the widest lenses in the range at 60 mm; A005 carries a deep 59 mm lens.
Close fit: A004 has the deepest bridge at 21 mm and a short 120 mm temple.
Long reach: A007’s 141 mm temple is the longest in the A-series; H207 reaches 150 mm.
Two sizes: A006 (M and S), H107 and H207 (S and L) let one model fit a whole team.
